A SILVER SERVING DISH AND COVER, bearing marks for London, 1807, maker's mark of Benjamin Smith, altered piece, short cylindrical, on finely scalloped foot, the dish chased with flowering foliate band on matted ground, with two hinged scroll handles with chased rocaille join, the raised cover with four panels of conforming decoration and further enhanced with diaperwork and vacant cartouche, quartered by acanthus band, with ring handle--10¼in.
