A SILVER SALVER, bearing marks for London, 1801, maker's mark of P., A. & W. Bateman, chased later, altered piece, shaped circular, on three foliate shell tapering feet, the ground engraved with broad band of flowerheads, foliate scroll enclosed scalework and rocaille, the molded border with applied rocaille and scroll rim--13¼in. (33.6cm.) wide; together with wood handled toddy ladle--London, 1770--the salver 41.5oz. (2)
