The slope front with incised geometric borders, and with a gilt-metal carrying handle and escutcheon on bun feet, the interior lined in red silk velvet and with a collection of twelve late 18th/early 19th Century American silver teaspoons, some with bright cut engraving, six unmarked, two marked NP, one NS, one engraved Sept 4 69 and two indistinctly marked- 8in. (20.3cm.) high; together with another similar, c. 1720, containing six modern silver plated rat-tail forks and six teaspoons- 11¾in. (30cm.) high (26)
