A LONG DINNER DRESS AND TAILCOAT OF BURGUNDY VELVET,

The dress is full-length and strapless; it is worn under a tailcoat inspired by men's dress in the early 19th Century. The tailcoat is embroidered at the front, cuffs and tails with flowers and leaves of gold thread. The flowers have stamens of simulated pearls. This dress was worn by the Princess at the film premiere of 'Steel Magnolias' in 1990, and during her state visit to Korea, in 1992.
