[Frontispiece: "The finding of Jem in Nobody's Hole"] Two drawings, pencil and watercolor, each signed "Geo. Cruikshank," showing studies of the rival beadles, both trial illustrations; etched proof (marked "2nd Proof" in pencil) with about 12 various pencil and watercolor sketches in the margin, signed "G. Ck.", laid down on thick paper, soiled.

[Etched title:] One drawing, pen-and-ink, pencil and watercolor, signed "Geo. Cruikshank," a trial illustration with the ship's stern at the foot of the page supported at the sides by two jolly tars, one on a ladder, the other on a mast, with humorous figures on a rooftop above; etched proof of this drawing with pen highlighting and some pencil notes, the sheet defective and laid down.
