The above lot is after a composition in the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh. The Raleigh picture is rejected by Julius Held as a painting by Rubens (cf. J.S. Held The Oil Sketches of Peter Paul Rubens, I, 1980, pp.634-5, no. A20, pl. 488)
