This print, believed to be unique, was included in the photographer's personal set of his own work which was acquired by the photographer, dealer and historian, Tom Jacobson. Included in Jacobson's mongraph on Dubreuil - which remains the definitive text on the photographer - Mickey is one of the earliest works of art incorporating the image of Disney's sympathetic cartoon mouse.

The masks employed in the composition were likely produced in England in 1930 or 1931.
