Montrachet--Vintage 1985
Côte de Beaune, Chartron & Trebuchet
"The distinguishing feature of this partnership's range of white
burgundies is--to me--leanness, steeliness, a certain austerity, though the combination of Le Montrachet and 1985 does not exactly bear this out: pale yellow, waxy sheen; nose minty at first, developing a
lovely smoky vanilla bouquet, spicy; dry, fairly full-bodied, very oaky flavour, good length, still a bit austere." JMB
