"Picking started Sept 25 and finished the day before the rains came. Consequently a vastly superior wine, the finest of the '64 Médocs. Many notes, 12 since 1980. Still virtually opaque; lovely scent, spicy, violets, crisp yet ripe; sweet, fairly full-bodied, rich, velvety, well laden with fruit, nicely balanced. Five stars. Will keep." JMB
