Château Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1971
Pauillac, 1er cru classé.
Levels of four top-shoulder, one high-shoulder, one mid-shoulder;
labels soiled and glue-stained though legible
"Fairly deep, more of a cherry red and still with a crisp youthful plumminess of colour. Trying hard to be fragrant with deceptively raw fruit when decanted, needing an hour or so to open up, eventually delicious, spicy; suprisingly sweet, lean, flavoury, good length." JMB 1 dozen bottles per lot
