"Fine, deep and elegant in cask, characteristic length noted, and
an incredible aftertaste, through the 1970s. 15 notes during the
1980s. Originally considerable depth of colour, now
medium-deep. Nose, though well developed, opens in the glass,
fragrant, touch of vanilla. The first sip has the sweetness of
maturity and bottle-age, fairly full-bodied, silky, delicate yet
mouthfilling, great length, beautiful aftertaste, with tannin
and acidity to prolong its life. Last tasted April 1989. Four (+1)
stars. Drink now or leave for one's children." JMB
