Château Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1971

Details
Château Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1971
Pauillac, 1er cru classé.
Levels of two top-shoulder and one high-to-top-shoulder, labels slightly bin-soiled
"More notes on this than any other '71. Fairly deep, more of a
cherry red and still with a crisp youthful plumminess of colour.
Trying hard to be deceptively raw fruit when first decanted, needed
an hour or so to open up, eventually delicious, spicy; surprisingly
sweet, lean, flavoury, good length. Touch of bitterness on the
finish. Needs time and air." JMB
1 dozen bottles per lot
