A recent article by John Culme suggests that the mark DF in script that appears on nutmeg graters and corkscrews from the middle of the 18th century may be that of David Field; see 'Periodical Reflections' in Antique Collector, February, 1987, p.65.

A similar canteen by Ayme Videau was sold by Christie's, New York, October 30, 1990, lot 241.
