Excellent deep color, level of one high-to-top-shoulder; labels bin-soiled and capsules with slight deterioration
"A huge, packed, fleshy, austere but magnificent wine, due to
its high alcohol and tannins. Almost chewable. I have tasted more
Latour than any other '61, some 30 or so notes, and believe that,
like the '28, it will need a full half-century to come round." JMB
