Details
Château Lafite--Vintage 1970
Pauillac, 1er cru classé.
All of excellent general appearance, with neck levels, deep color, and clean labels, with the exception of the final lot of half-bottles which contains seven with top-shoulder and four with high-to-top shoulder levels
"Originally considerable depth of colour, now medium-deep. Nose, though well developed, opens up in the glass, fragrant, touch of vanilla. The first sip has the sweetness of maturity and bottle-age, fairly full-bodied, silky, delicate yet mouthfilling, great length, beautiful aftertaste, with tannin and acidity to prolong its life." JMB 1 double-magnum per lot
