Details
Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1970
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé.
All of excellent general appearance, with neck levels, deep color, and clean labels, with the exception of the final lot of half-bottles which contains eight with top-shoulder levels
"Curiously it appears to have deepened in colour, though now, despite its richness and a degree of intensity, it is showing some maturity . . . touch of ripe sweetness leading eventually to a dry, still tannic finish. Medium full-bodied, touch of leanness, lovely silk texture, elegant and complete. Drink now if you like a characterful mouthfiller, or wait 10 - 20 years." JMB
