American, late 18th century
The first in red, white and blue wool woven in a variation of the Nine-Patch pattern, in two parts with center seam, the whole self-bound with applied fringe on other two sides; the second in blue and white woven wool in a Monmouth pattern, in two parts with center seam, with applied fringe on three sides, blue binding on one side; together with Johann Michael Frickinger, Weber Bild Buch (Schwabach und Leipzig, 1767) and J. and R.
