Decorated in hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with togidashi details with a scene of thatched garden huts, a stream, flowering trees and chicks all in gold against a roiro-nuri ground, the interior cases nashiji, fitted with a gold lacquer ojime and an ivory netsuke in the form of two persimmons, signed Mitsuhiro- 3 in. (7.7 cm.)
