Modelled in the form of a norimono, with sliding, slatted doors, hinged roof flaps and long, two-section carrying pole, decorated in gold takamaki-e on a nashiji ground with cranes and pines, the roof patterned with floral roundels, gilt mounts, the interior lined with brocade- 12 5/8 x 9 x 8 in. (32 x 22.8 x 20.3 cm.) excluding pole; pole 28 in. (71 cm.)
