With oblong mottled brass case with hinged side and back panels, with black lacquer fixed hour ring enclosing a red lacquer disc with pierced gilt hour hand, the iron posted frame movement with thread suspension to single foliot, verge escapement, striking the hour by means of countwheel on bell mounted above case, the glazed wood case with stepped roof, supported by stand with four tapering legs- clock 10 in. (26 cm.) high, overall height including stand 56 in. (142 cm.); damages
