MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY), SIGNED NAMIKAWA SOSUKE
The large rectangular tray worked in musen-jippo and silver wire detail outline with a design of a white hawk perched on rocks, the ground pale grey rising to lighter grey and pale orange, the rim shakudo, the underside densely patterned with brown florets on a darked mahogany ground, inlaid silver wire seal- 12 x 10 in. (30.5 x 25.4 cm.)
