The circular case surmounted by a flame finial and ribbon-tied garland of laurel, the shaped oval base applied with beading, rosettes and floral frieze, supporting central panel of pastoral putti, flanked by columns and buttresses decorated with laurel swags and urns, signed white enamel dial, roman chapters and arabic minute numerals, pierced gilt leafy scroll hands, signed and numbered movement with anchor escapement, thread suspension to pendulum, striking the hour and half-hour on bell by means of crossed-out countwheel, c. 1780--14½in.
