Galba (B.C. 3-A.D. 69) was Emperor from A.D. 68-9. He was most successful in his military career, serving for eight years under Nero. His rise to Emperor was followed by a swift decline, he surrounded himself by weak advisors, and was finally assassinated by a rival faction.
