Attributed to George Gerhart (1791-1846), Rockhill Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, first quarter 19th century
Centering a perched owl with ochre head, red beak, eyes and horns, with red, black and yellow dappled body, black decorated wing perched on a branch issuing black, yellow and red leaves, the page embellished with yellow, black and red rosettes and a yellow and red leafy branch, the whole enclosed in a red squiggle border
6½in. high, 4½in. wide
