THE FIRST AALBORG, CIRCA 1780, MAKER'S MARK OF HANS BUSCH; THE SECOND 18TH CENTURY, MAKER'S MARK FW, POSSIBLY FOR FRIEDRICH WISSING OF ODENSE

The first of fluted baluster form surmounted by the cast figure of an eagle, the hinged foot pricked with initials, struck with maker's mark only--3 1/4in. (8cm.); the second oval with reeded sides, the base engraved with a stork and baby, the slip-on cover chased with bands of stylized foliage within a dentilated border and surmounted by a ball finial, the base struck FW in script and Frede--3in. (7.6cm.) long; the corkscrew with elaborately cast and chased scroll handle and paneled baluster sheath, the tamper engraved with initials, with replaced worm, apparently unmarked--3 1/2in. (9cm.) (3)
