Of rectangular form with canted corners, the base, sides and hinged cover with geometric panels of black and translucent blue enamel on a moire ground within white, black and blue ruled and foliate borders, the cover applied with an octagonal cartouche bordered by chased stiff foliage enclosing a scene of Diana in amorous pose, flanked by chased winged putto and hound, apparently unmarked--3 3/4in. (9.5cm.) long
