The campana-shaped body on a spreading circular foot chased with a band of foliate scrolls on a matted ground below fluted bands, the lower part of the body chased with flutes and applied above with a band of trailing foliate grape vine on a matted ground, the everted rim with egg and dart decoration, the acanthus clad tied reeded handles issuing from classical masks, engraved front and back with a coat-of-arms and crest within a foliate scroll mantling, marked on body--11 3/8in. (28.9cm.) (85 oz.)

The arms are those of Townsend impaling those of Pechell, as born by the Rev. Henry Townsend of Honington Hall, Warwickshire, who married March 5, 1811 Catherine Anne, 3rd daughter of Sir Paul Pechell, 1st Bt.
