In the Rococo style, of inverted pear-shaped form on spreading rim foot, the sides elaborately chased with foliage and hounds, engraved front and back with two crests and the motto BE JUST AND FEAR NOT within a scroll cartouche, tha acanthus scroll spout applied with flowers, with overhead acanthus scroll and ivory swing handle, the hinged domed cover with similar foliate decoration and surmounted by a scroll finial, the stand shaped square and on four scroll feet, with central lamp and two openwork scroll supports, marked under base, on cover finial, handle, stand, lamp and lamp cover--15 1/2in. (39.3cm.) high
