Helmet-shaped, on spreading circular foot cast and chased with a band of gadrooning, rising to a knopped stem, the lower part of the body applied below a mid-rib with alternating lobes and cut card arcades,and applied below the rim with a molded serpentine border surmounted under the lip by stylized foliage, with cast flying scroll handle issuing from an architectural bracket, the front engraved with an Earl's armorials, marked on rim, the base with scratch weight 63:14--13in. (33cm.) high
