lithograph, 1936, on Rives, signed and titled in pencil, a previously unrecorded proof, with full margins, in excellent condition; Art Curb Market or Washington Square Art Show (McC. 84)--lithograph, 1934, on wove paper, signed in pencil, numbered 18/50 from the edition printed in 1974 (there were also 10 artist's proofs plus approximately 30 printed in 1934), with full margins, in excellent condition; Butchering at Mr. Fenk's Place and Entangled Tractor, by GRACE ALBEE (1890-1985)--wood engravings, circa 1945 and 1945, on tissue-thin Japan, Butchering signed and titled in pencil, Tractor signed, titled and dated in pencil and inscribed 'Ed 100', Butchering numbered 8/125, with margins, Butchering with some small tears at the top left margin corner, taped down at the tips of the top margin corners, otherwise both in excellent condition (4)

Lot Essay

Dawn in the Assembly is clearly related to the print of the same title listed as McCullough 107. The example here varies significantly in composition from the editioned print, however, and is also several inches larger. It may be a unique proof.
