A SILVER TWO HANDLED COVERED SUGAR BOWL AND COVERED CREAM JUG, maker's mark of William Gale & Son, New York, 1850-1860, each pear shaped, on four foliate scroll feet, front and back with oval scroll enclosed cartouche, one engraved with crest and motto, within chased and engraved trailing floral spray, with part foliate scroll handle, the cream jug with raised molded cover chased with floral band, with applied foliate scroll rim, the part covered spout engraved with flowers, all topped by foliate baluster finial--8½in. (21.5cm.) high, 30oz.
