A LARGE SILVER PITCHER, maker's mark of Frederick Marquand, New York, 1830-1838, molded inverted pear shaped, on raised molded circular foot, the center chased with bold foliage enclosing vacant oval cartouche, flanked each side by engraved good samaritan scene, below chased with bowed continuous flowering foliate band, with applied stylized anthemion band to the foot, short knop and shoulder, the helmet form spout with applied beaded rim, with elaborate part foliate multi scroll handle--13¾in. (34.9cm.) high, 63.5oz.
