A GEORGE III SILVER COFFEE URN, London, 1783, maker's mark of Thomas Chawner, the detachable base unmarked, vase form, on detachable waisted stemmed square base raised on four bracket feet, engraved with crest (worn), the body with rectangular spout with ivory handle, the shoulder engraved with crest, with two upswept reeded handle, the detachabnle spool form cover topped by covered urn finial, with beaded rims, the body interior set with inverted pig compartment, the coals inserting into base--22in. (55.8cm.) high, gross weight 82.5oz.
