A SILVER TWO HANDLED CUP AND COVER, bearing marks for Dublin, 1748, later decorated, the pear shaped bowl on short stemmed raised circular foot with chased acanthus band, the lower body chased with swirling plain, husk, and rocaille bordered concave, flutes, below rocaille scalloped band, chased and engraved above with broad frieze of grapevines on matted scalework ground, centering front and back oval, one chased with portrait bust, enclosed by drapery swags, with two leaf capped, matted, multi scroll handles, with conformingly decorated molded high domed detachable cover, topped by foliate baluster finial--14¾in.
