Modelled as figures emblematic of the various stages of Love, a gallant holding a pocket watch and standing beneath a tree to the right of his companion spinning yarn, flanked on a lower level by two shepherds and shepherdesses, one couple having just released a dove from its cage, the other shepherd tickling his sleeping companion, replacements to the tree
