With a serpentine rectangular ormolu-moulded headboard crested by a putto nestled in an armorial trophy and foliage symbolizing dusk flanked by two scantily clad somnolent maidens centering an ormolu-moulded bombé panel inlaid with flowering vines the similarly shaped offset footboard centrally mounted with a naked female raising covers off a bas plaque depicting a sunrise over an ocean symbolizing dawn within an S-scrolling border framed with rockwork and clouds and flanked by hovering putti suspending cloth over an ormolu-moulded apron centering a bombé panel inlaid with a trellis entwined with flowering vines on massive scrolling feet, each shaped ormolu-moulded rail centrally mounted with a lion's skin over a shell and dolphin mount signed and dated on the headboard 'Zweiner, Paris 1895'
