The hood with three rectangular plinths inlaid with birch panels surmounted by ball-and-spire brass finials centering pierced fretwork above an arched molded cornice over a line-inlaid glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a sweep seconds and calendar day ring, the spandrels embellished with painted flowers, signed "Aaron Willard, Boston" surmounted by a lunar dial flanked by two reeded colonettes with brass capitals and bases over a waisted case, the line-inlaid door with molded edge opening to a partial reverse engraved label, centering flame birch rectangular panels flanked by reeded quarter columns with brass capitals and bases above rectangular lunette inlaid panels over a line-inlaid base above a shaped skirt, on flaired French feet, label on interior backboard bears inscription "[G.W.] Sharlow, 2nd House on Florence off Tiltson Street, Evrett, Mass."--103 3/4in. high, 18 1/2in. wide, 9 1/2in. deep
