Of rounded rectangular shape with slightly domed and overhanging lid, decorated in gold hiramaki-e with scrolling peony blossoms and hollyhock crests (aoi-mon) reserved on a nashiji ground, the interior also nashiji; fitted with silver cord rings cast as hollyhock crests
