Of rectangular shape, decorated with two sparrows flying beneath flowering cherry trees in gold and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi and e-nashiji on a roiro ground dusted with kimpun and applied with hirame, the underside of the cover lacquered in similar techniques and embellished with okibirame on a reddish nashiji ground with autumn grasses, the lower section fitted with a removable implement tray containing the inkstone and a silver water dropper cast as a teakettle, also containing an inkstick, the base nashiji, rims silver
