A BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL VASE
YI DYNASTY (19TH CENTURY)
The body of rounded hexagonal form set on six sets of bracket supports and moulded with a slender hexagonal section neck, tapering toward tthe top before flaring slightly below the hexagonal rim, painted in underglaze blue with three large chrysanthemum blooms and meandering leafy stems below a ring of clouds, the base of the neck painted with a matching blue band of fretwork echoed by a large band at the neck- 8 5/8 in. (21.9 cm.) high, firing crack on base, long body crack restored
