(9 5/8 x 6 11/16 x 1 5/16in.), dark green crushed levant morocco gilt, covers with triple gilt fillet border; spine in six compartments with five raised and gilt-dotted bands, gilt-lettered in two compartments, a triple headed flower within ornamental scrollwork gilt panel in the rest; board edges with double gilt fillet, turn-ins with an alternate border roll of fleur-de-lys and small leaf tool, doublures of light brown crushed levant morocco with double gilt fillet border enclosing a fine large panel decoration comprising a large gilt ornamental design at each corner connected by panels of paired double gilt fillet with ornaments at the ends, free endpages of light green corded and machine-embroidered silk, marbled paper flyleaves, g.e., original printed wrappers preserved, original morocco-tipped and leather-lined marbled boards slipcase (extremities of case very slightly rubbed), stamped-signed on upper doublure: "Marius Michel". LIMITED EDITION, one of 35 copies on Imperial Japan Paper of an edition of 170 (plus a few copies not for sale), engraved title signed by E.D. French and 32 other illustrations and ornaments, some full-page, the frontispiece printed in colors, initial capitals in red.
