(8 1/4 x 5 3/4 x 5/8in.), blue crushed levant morocco, each cover with single gilt fillet border enclosing an onlaid black morocco gilt strip border framing a large panel conatining a broad and dense design of climbing vine with bunches of grapes, the centers left blank, the design executed in morocco gilt onlays of brown, olive, two shades of green and maroon; spine in six compartments with five raised and gilt-ruled bands, gilt lettered in two compartments, onlaid morocco climbing vine and grapes through the rest, each compartment framed in black morocco gilt onlay; board edges with double gilt fillet, turn-ins elaborately gilt ruled and with gilt stippled fillets and onlaid olive morocco gilt stylized leaf corner ornaments, vellum doublures and endleaves, t.e.g., original straight-grained dark green morocco gilt folding box case, velvet and padded silk-lined fitted, (with trifling wear at extremities of box), the binding stamp-signed by the binders on upper turn-in. ONE OF ELEVEN COPIES ON VELLUM of an edition of 311, printed in Golden type in black and red, full-page woodcut frontispiece after a design by Edward Burne-Jones, two pages with full woodcut page-borders (two different designs), numerous 10-line and smaller initial capitals.
