Lot Essay

Conceived in 1930, Reflections was edited as a 16 inch table bronze (cast in an edition of 15) and as a larger fountain figure (cast in an edition of 12). Frishmuth's favorite model Desha posed for the piece. Another example of the larger model was sold in these Rooms December 6, 1985, lot 136.
