A HUANGHUALI TAPERED ROUND-CORNER KANG CABINET, YUANJIAO KANGGUI
Late 16th Century
The top frame with rounded edge enclosing a huanghuali top panel, supported on splayed corner posts of rounded section enclosing the well-figured matching panels of the pair of doors opening from the central removable stile, above the plain narrow apron with apron-head spandrels joining the legs formed by the lower extensions of the corner posts, the interior fitted with a single shelf, with baitong fittings
