A SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, 1897, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each compressed pear shaped, on molded circular foot, two sides with ribbon tied oak wreath, one monogrammed, one enclosing flower spray, below ribbon tied floral festoons, with acanthus capped loop handles, the pots with part acanthus spout, the hinged slightly raised cover topped by covered urn finial, with beaded rims, the tea kettle with overhead swing handle, on twice chained circular stand, resting on four acanthus capped scroll supports, with plain burner--tea kettle on stand over handle 13½in. (34.2cm.), gross weight 114oz. together with a circular trophy salver--12in. (30.4cm.) diam. (7)
