A FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, 1904, the tray lacking date symbol, comprising teapot, baluster necked coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each monogrammed, compressed circular on raised circular base twice flat chased with bud sprig, the body chased with broad frieze of floral sprays, with acanthus capped scroll handle, the pots with decorated wavy collar, part decorated spout, the hinged partly domded cover chased quarterly with bifurcated scrolls and topped by acanthus bud finial--the coffee pot 10½in. (26.6cm.) high, the rounded rectangular tray with applied floral and foliate scroll wavy rim and decorated handles--length over handles 27½in. (69.8cm.), gross weight 203.5oz. (5)
