A CONTINENTAL SILVER ORNAMENTAL DISH AND TWO HANDLED VASE, both probably Hanau, Germany, late 19th Century, the oval dish repousse with 16th Century soldier within town scape, the broad border chased and engraved with stiff leaf and berry swag, the two ends with medallion, the top also with inscription, the bottom with shields, with broadly crimped rim--14¾in. (37.4cm.) long, the vase on square plinth base, applied with acanthus band, the mid section with bold grapevine, with two satyr's mask handles, the short neck with splits--11in.
