A FRENCH TURQUOISE-GROUND ENAMEL SNUFF-BOX, circa 1760, the rectangular hinged cover with a green parrot holding a flower in its beak perched on a flowering branch and scattered sprays within a shaped cartouche edged in C-scrolls reserved on the turquoise ground enamelled in white with concentric diamonds and trellis pattern, the sides with floral cartouches, the interior of the cover painted with a half-length portrait of a fashionable lady holding a fan and a bonnet (some old restoration to corners, chips, cracks)--3 3/8in.
