A GEORGE III SILVER INKSTAND, London, 1776, maker's mark of William Aldrige, the bottle mounts unmarked, shaped rounded rectangular, on four foliate openwork tapering bracket feet, two sides with pen depression with shaped end and two shaped triangular cutouts flanking the central ground, the center applied with three pierced cylindrical bottle holders, the three cut glass bottles with slip on silver cover, one engraved with crest, two pierced, with beaded borders--8½in. (21.5cm.), the silver 12.5oz.
