Lot Essay

Wu Zhifan, alias Lu Chen or Dong Hai, was a native of Jiading, Jiangsu, later settling in Tianjin. He was active during the reign of Kangxi (1662-1722) and is regarded as the first to carve in low relief on an almost plain background
